By design, our community is small. By design, there are no layers distancing members from leaders or rabbi. Communication, clear and transparent, has always been a guiding principle for us in building a healthy community.
One method of communication is our (more-or-less) Annual Asseyfa / Meeting of the Membership. As we begin our tenth year together(!), it’s time once again to come together. We’ll meet (at a distance) on Sunday morning, June 14, 10:00-11:30 am.
Overall, our goals for the meeting include celebrating B’Chavana and its successes and looking towards our future as a community. Through this program, we come together for some enjoyment and to be intentional about belonging to this community.
To enhance our understanding and commitment, we’ll think about what it means to be a member of a community, in general, and this community, in particular. To do that, we’ll do a little learning; re-affirm our mission; and address some logistical issues. Finally, I’ll share my vision for our future.
Our goal is 100% participation. In addition to the fun and sharing, we’ll share important financial information and other membership responsibilities that will keep us a vibrant and loving community.
We’ll meet via Zoom this year. This means that the brunch is BYOCL&B (bring your own coffee, lox and bagels). I’ll send the link by congregational email as we get closer.
I hope you’ll plan to be there. If you haven’t already, you should receive a call from one of the leaders to let you know a little more. If you have questions, I’m happy to hear from you.
In the meantime, stay careful and healthy, please.
